The CRM Engineering for Enterprise aka E2 team is pleased to announce the release of another component of the broader CRM E2 Nuts and Bolts article on Security and Authentication in Microsoft Dynamics CRM –  the white paper Connectivity and Firewall Port Requirements in On-Premise Deployments, which is available for download from the Microsoft Download Center at:

Many data centers include firewalls between the end-users and the servers and other integrated systems that support an implementation of Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0. This document provides guidance on the connectivity requirements between Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 and other systems to assist readers with proper firewall configuration in customer environments.

The CRM E2 team especially recognizes the efforts of Peter Simons, Roger Gilchrist, Mahesh Hariharan, Monika Borgaonkar, and CRM Product Development for contributing to and reviewing this paper to help ensure its completeness and accuracy. If you have any comments about the document or suggestions about how we might improve it, please comment below.

Thanks,

Jim Toland
