This document, which represents the core architectural component of the broader CRM E2 Nuts and Bolts article on Security and Authentication in Microsoft Dynamics CRM, focuses on the Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 security model, including details about the various authentication methods supporting different MS CRM deployment models. The paper also provides comprehensive information about how users and external systems are “authorized” to access various Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 system resources.
